49th & Market, Vintage Artistry Essentials | Julie Taylor
Hello Magpies, Julie back with you again today sharing 2 layouts using a new brand to the shop, 49th & Market. There are 4 collections, in store, from them & all are gorgeous & could easily be mixed & matched together.
Today
The collection I chose to work with was Vintage Artistry Essentials, a very muted colour palette with lots of leaves & nature inspired embellishments. The patterned papers are perfect for those a bit afraid of doing some mixed media as it’s all there for you & all I needed to add was some stamping & a few splatters.
I layered some of the File Frames, these come in 3 different sizes & would be fab for all projects as a layer or to frame your photos. I grouped them just off centre & added some stitching to give some texture.
The rub-ons, in this collection, are gorgeous!! 6 sheets of beautiful designs with leaves, script, text & doilies perfect for building up your background & they go on perfectly. I added a few leaves, a doily & the little dots that look like beads.
I added a tag, up the top, some stripped washi & a few blue flowers, from my stash, to inject a touch of colour & die cut the view finder wheel & the birds from the 6×8 paper pack.
I finished the page by adding some twine, around the photo, adding a couple of charms & a metal today as my title.
Perfect, The Little Things
My second layout came about from this adorable photo that was begging to be scrapped!!! I added a bit of texture paste, to the background & again added a few subtle splatters.
I sewed a messy circle onto the Essence paper & added in some vine ribbon & attached a doily.
The wooden circle is from my stash & I backed it with text paper from the 6×8 paper pad & added the photo over that, on foam pads for dimension.
I cut 2 feathers & embossed the one with some aged copper & inked the other text one & positioned them down from the photo, along with a tassel from the Jen Hadfield Peaceful Heart collection.
The lock & the dreamer word are out the washi pack which is unlike any washi I’ve ever seen!!! 1 full 12×6 sheet ( which I’ll try & use in my next post) & a sheet of cut out washi!!! bit like clear stickers & adds a great touch.
I finished off this layout with another wire word, rub-ons, chipboard stickers & wishing bubbles & trinkets ( how lovely do they sound!!!)
I hope you have enjoyed my layouts today & pop on over to the store & take a peak at the other collections from 49th & Market, you won’t be disappointed.
Until next time,
