49 and Market | Vintage Artistry Countryside | Giselle Homer

Hello again Magpies,

I have a new layout to share today, created with 49 & Market’s Vintage Artistry Countryside. As you might expect, this collection is full of flowers, leaves & other ephemera depicting rural life, all of which are great for photos taken anywhere outside.
I began the page by trimming a piece of Sunset Bloom paper to 11” square & distressing the edges. This was glued to a piece of dark red cardstock & I added a border using a brown fine liner pen.

The photo is nearly 6” wide & so I cut a title from Amelia Creates Digital Cutfiles to fit cross the top edge. I backfilled it with a mustard yellow card from the Ephemera pack & added a couple of cute bees from the Rub-on Transfers Set. Then I added both approximately in the centre of the page.

I chose some flowers & leaves to add to the left side of the photo, some of which I raised on foam pads, then used some designs from the Rub-on Transfers Set  in between to add a little texture.

The phrase ‘In the countryside’ is also a rub-on transfer which I placed just below the photo.

Finally I chose a tag, a bow & a flower sprig to place at the top right of the page. The finishing touch is a sweet little weather vane rub-on design placed above the flower group!

I’ll have another layout using this collection later in the month. Till then, happy scrapping everyone!
