49 & Market | Echoes of Time | Giselle Homer

Hello Magpies,

This month I’m working with an unusual collection from 49 and Market. It’s called Echoes of Time & blends soft, pastel colours with steam punk illustrations. They’re also very imaginative & detailed.

REMEMBER THIS

This first layout features a photo of my Grandson visiting the London Transport Museum & was a perfect match!

I began by adding layers of patterned paper, cardstock & thin PET Tape to make a border around the photo.

Next, I chose some embellishments to make a cluster in the top right corner, adding a little tag for the date.

On the left of the photo I used a die-cut tag, threaded with string, with a selection of ephemera plus some cogs. I die cut a ‘Circle Web’ Die from Hey Little Magpie & coloured with Distress Inks in brown & green. Then I placed this behind the ephemera.

I added some more ephemera – there’s a good selection to choose from – to place at the lower right corner of the photo. With a phrase tag  for a title, plus a chipboard word embellishment & more cogs I finished the layout with a little journalling.

I’ll have another layout to share later in the month. Don’t forget to share your layouts on our Facebook Page, we love seeing what you’ve created.

Until then, happy scrapbooking everyone!
