Hi Magpies, I hope you’ve had some scrapping time this month, especially as the little ones are back at school! I’ve been having fun with this fabulous collection from 49 & Market!

TREASURED MEMORIES

My second layout using this collection is very different to my previous post. I decided to use a much larger photo than normal as I really wanted to show one of the highlights of our holiday. The lake really is this colour, it’s fed by large amounts of glacier rock flour that flows into it during the summer months.

I began by adding a little soft stencilling to a sheet of Tranquil paper to sit behind the photo & some colour applied with a blender brush.

Then I cut some label shapes from various patterned papers & distressed the edges. I threaded them together with a blue wax tape from my stash & then tucked them behind the left of the photo.

On the right of the photo I glued a flower from the Laser Cut Outs pack & added a few rub-on transfer words. A phrase & stamp were tucked in at the top.

I really liked the ‘ladder’ die cut but turned it around to look like a fence, which I placed above the photo on the left.

Hey Little Magpie has new collections of Phrase Ephemera in the shop now so I chose one for my title. My journalling strip, a few leaves & a butterfly finished off the layout.
