49 and Market | Vintage Artistry Tranquility | Giselle Homer
Hello again Magpies,
This month I’m using yet another beautiful collection from 49 & Market, this one is Vintage Artistry Tranquility & it follows the signature Vintage theme that’s been used in other collections.
HAPPY MEMORIES
I chose a pale blue cardstock for the background to follow the soft hues of the collection. Using a stamp by Tim Holtz called Brushstrokes, I applied some grey & blue ink along the centre of the page. And added some paint splatters.
Then I cut 9 diamond shapes from the patterned papers & distressed all the edges. I arranged these in the centre of the layout, making one large diamond & leaving little gaps between them. I also tucked a couple of strips of patterned paper behind the diamond before adding embellishments to some of the diamonds, which included laser die cut wildflowers & acetate leaves – which are stunning!
Then I backed my photo, distressed the edges & added it on the right of the diamond shape. There are some chipboard embellishments in the collection which I added next to the photo.
Finally I chose a chipboard title which I placed to the left of the photo together with a phrase & a tag.
To finish, I drew a border using a fine tip grey marker pen.
I’ll be back later in the month with another layout using the gorgeous collection. Till then, happy scrapping everyone!
