49 and Market | Vintage Artistry In the Leaves | Part Two | Giselle Homer
Hello Magpies,
I’m sharing my 2nd layout today using the 49 and Market collection called ‘Vintage Artistry In The Leaves’. I can’t tell how much I’ve enjoyed working with these papers, they’re very unusual with a gorgeous colour palette.
Rosie
I began this layout by cutting the word ‘Love’ in a heart shape, from the Seasoned paper using my Silhouette. If you don’t have a cutting machine you could use large alphabet stickers or stamps for your title, arranged in a heart shape.
Then I stitched around the heart shape with olive green embroidery thread, using just three strands as I didn’t want it too bulky.
I printed my photo with a thin white border & placed it on the left of the heart. Then I added a corner which I cut from a frame from the ephemera pack together with a tag which I placed below the photo.
I chose various rub-ons to add below the photo & to link it with the heart shape. This manufacturers rub-ons are really good quality & applying them is easy, they don’t break & an applicator stick is included in each pack. The rub-on pack that I used is now out of stock but there are many more from this manufacturer that would work well with your layout.
Then I added a couple of tags on the far right with the other half of the chipboard frame & a few more rub-on designs.
Using a patterned paper for my background made this layout come together fairly quickly, so I would recommend it as a way of creating gorgeous layouts if you don’t have much spare time!
Until next month, happy scrapping everyone!
