49 and Market | Vicki Boutin | Curiosities in Willow Grove | Part Two | Giselle Homer
Hello everyone,
Today I’m sharing my second layout using a recent collection from 49 & Market. It was designed by Vicki Boutin & is called Curiosities in Willow Grove.
A DAY LIKE THIS
To begin I backed my photo, which measures 3” x 4”, with some white cardstock & two papers from the collection. Then I glued it down just left of centre. The muted paper that I chose for the base is subtle enough to allow the other elements to be prominent.
I had an idea to work horizontally across the page for this one, so I began by adding 2 strips of washi tape across the page. Then I chose some laser cut flowers & leaves to lay along the washi tape. And a little phrase tag – I love these, you can pop them almost anywhere on your layouts!
Thinking that the page looked a bit ’empty’ I drew 2 circles using a fine liner in the centre of the page. I added a cluster of embellishments at the top following the shape of the circle.
On the left of the photo I added another cluster of laser cuts. I backed the title with patterned paper to help it stand out & placed it below the flowers.
