49 and Market | Plum Grove | Giselle Homer
Hello Magpies,
For my first post this month I’m using Plum Grove by 49 & Market, mixed with a few other pieces from different collections. You’ll find that most 49 & Market collections work well together which allows you to use up those little bits of surplus stash that we all have!
EXPLORE
I began my page by using a heavyweight cardstock base & applied some colour using the packaging technique, which to be honest, I haven’t fully mastered yet but I’ll keep trying! Plus some dark green ink splats. 49 & Market rub-ons come in useful as you can apply little bits of the random background images on your page that you might have missed with the inking.
I cut & tore some strips of paper from the collection & arranged them underneath my photo, which I had layered & distressed the edges. The green stripy paper is from the Vintage Artistry Countryside collection & the strong colour helps to give some focus. Little flower rub-ons to the left of the photo broke up the straight edge, with a cute little Magpie Canvas Flair. Plus a tab which I threaded with waxed tape & secured on the back of the layout.
Using a scrap of paper I made a tag & placed it at the top of the photo, along with a blank tab for the date & a couple of tickets from the ephemera pack.
I cut some elongated triangles & arranged them to mimic sun rays at the lower right corner of the photo. The title is from the Vintage Artistry Everywhere collection Chipboard Word Set, along with the phrase & a cute little heart.
So, if you have a few 49 & Market scraps that you’d like to use up, try mixing them on one layout – it works!
Until next month, happy scrapping everyone!
