49 and Market | Nature’s Haven | Part Two | Giselle Homer

Hello everyone,

Here’s my next layout for October featuring the Nature’s Haven collection from 49 & Market. It celebrates my daughter’s 38 year friendship with her bestie, the photo was taken in Oxford where they met up for a long run together!

LOVELY

To begin this page I blended some Distress Oxide inks in the middle of a piece of cardstock, using two colours – Bundled Sage & Barn Door. Next, using a Hey Little Magpie texture stamp called Distressed Grids, I stamped randomly over that same area.
I backed the photo using plain cardstock & patterned paper. The pink gingham patterned piece  was cut in a chevron shape at the lower edge, to show below the photo.
Then I added die-cuts, shaped like wooden logs & tucked them behind two sides of the photo.

Below the photo I added a die cut basket & included a couple of flowers through a slit that I cut in the basket. I applied some ‘stitch’ patterned rub-ons on either side & outlined the chevron shape with a black fine liner pen.

On the left of the photo I added a large floral die cut & a small doily from my own stash. I also added some tiny individual rub-on flowers.

I repeated that on the right with another floral die-cut, adding a title, some rub-on butterflies & a few more ‘stitches’.

If you’re tempted by this collection, do share your layouts on our Facebook page, we love seeing what you create! Until next time, happy scrapping everyone!
