49 and Market | From the Garden | Part Two | Giselle Homer
Hello Magpies,
Today I have another layout using a ‘From the Garden’ a collection from 49 & Market. I decided to use a patterned paper for my background called Untamed. I thought the blue circles blended well with the sky in my photo!
My Three Best Boys!
I began by backing the photo with 2 layers of plain cardstock, distressed the edges & placed it in the centre of my page. I added a ‘washing line’ embellishment, from the laser cut elements pack, just above & behind the photo.
Below the photo I threaded a length of twine along the full width of the layout. I used silver brads to anchor the thread on both sides. The ends of the thread were glued with some tape on the reverse of the page. Then I placed a collection of flower pots on the right with a few extra flowers to add more colour.
On the left I chose a laser cut trellis to run up the side of the photo, to which I added a trailing vine & a cute robin perched on a tap! Behind that I glued a signpost with a little bee & butterfly. A row of flowerpots placed on the length of twine & some extra flowers completed this cluster.
Below the photo I continued adding more die cut elements – there are loads to chose from! Plus a tag for my title. A few lines of journalling were the finishing touches to the layout.
