49 and Market | From the Garden | Giselle Homer

Hello everyone,

This month I am using a collection from 49 & Market, called ‘From the Garden’. It’s full of elements & papers that you might expect which includes flowers, plants, tools & watering cans, garden fences & signs, all with a touch of the whimsical vintage style – in fact everything you’ll need for spring or summer layouts!
A DAY TO REMEMBER

 

To begin this page I blended some green ink in the centre of a sheet of white cardstock. Then, using both pink & green ink, I stencilled a faint background using two Distress Oxides – Picked Raspberries & Bundled Sage.

 

I chose four photos of my daughter & her best friend from school, taken when they were keeping fit near Windsor Great Park. Printing one at 4″ x 3″ & then 3 smaller sized ones measuring  2″ x 2.5″, I arranged them on the page,  overlapping them slightly to form a central focal point together.

 

I left space on the left for a cluster of embellishments, choosing a sweet collection of garden themed items from the laser cut pack & some extra leaves.

 

Also on the left, I placed a window frame which I had backed with patterned paper adding a few flowers, a tag & a ticket.

 

I added a few more flowers here & there around the layout,  plus my title tag which I looped with a thin waxed thread, above the main photo.
