210 – Simple Stories Let’s Go – Amy Kattenbelt

Hello Magpies! Amy here with you sharing a layout that I created using Simple Stories Let’s Go travel themed collection. This layout will be the first in my 2022 holiday album.

I like to record the house number we stay at on each holiday, so I decided to run with this idea and make the number, 210, very large. I cut it out of a piece of 12×12 white card and then backed each number with a different coloured patterned paper from the 6×8 paper pad.

I added the name of where we stayed in two different alphas. The blue is from a Simple Stories Color Vibe sticker book and the puffy orange stickers are by Elle’s Studio and match this collection perfectly!

Next I put some stripes of patterned papers along the top and bottom of the layout. I added the foam sticker “destination” to the top right corner.

I added my photo, matted it onto a dark coloured patterned paper for contrast and then had fun adding stickers and ephemera to the layout.

I tried to pick the pieces that were most relevent to the photo, maps and keys etc. I placed them in clusters and also tried to get a good balance of colours within each cluster. I finished the layout off by adding little heart stickers.
