A Little Pick Me Up by Niki Rowland

Hey there Magpies, Niki here today sharing a few layouts made using the gorgeous new collection by Paige Evans called Pick Me Up.  I absolutely love the mix of colours in this collection, from girly pinks to navy blues.

For my first layout I used one of the ombre striped pink papers to cut this heart cut file. I cut it three times in different sizes. I added some ink to a white background and then positioned the hearts in place and stitched through them on the sewing machine.

For my second layout I went for a yellow colour scheme. I also used a Polaroid cut file by Paige Evans and filled each frame with patterned paper from the Pick Me Up collection. I embellished with lots of ephemera, rub ons and chipboard stickers.

For this layout I used a freebie cut file which came with all those hearts as well as stitching holes. I stitched through with blue thread and backed the hearts with a multicoloured paper from the collection. I used the thickers from Paige’s previous collection (as somehow I ended up with three packs and needed to use them up!) and I embellished with puffy stickers, chipboard, rub ons, ephemera and of course a sprinkle of sequins.

My final layout to share today is a bit different to my usual style.  I’ve used the acetate speciality sheet from the collection. At first I struggled with what to do with this sheet but I saw a challenge online for ‘minimalistic’ so thought I’d give that a go. I therefore kept my layout extremely simple in order to show off the glorious acetate. I added just a few stickers and machine stitched through with some gold thread.

Thank you so much for joining me today – what will you make with the Pick Me Up collection?

Happy scrapping xx
