Making my mark with Bella Blvd!

Hey Magpies, welcome to June! This month I am working with the amazing Bella Blvd, Make Your Mark collection. I used it in May as well, you can see my post here, last month I did my more clean & simple style LO’s but I also created these more, colourful and busy LO’s as well. I couldn’t stop creating with this collection, I love it!
This first LO is a bit of a clean and simple design. I took a sheet from the 6×8 Paper Pad and cut it into random sized strips. I added in an extra strip of black and white striped paper behind the photo and also as a border, it’s from Crate Paper, Buddy Paper. I used some Break Rules Washi Tape and rows of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Dandelion Yellow and Caribbean Blue. My title is from an older Dear Lizzy line and the ‘fantastic’ word is from Fancy Pants, Joy Parade. I’ve dotted around various hearts
and the ‘love you’ banner is from the Gift It Tags pack and the wood veneer ‘enjoying these moments’ plaque is from Elles Studio, Live Laugh Love.

As soon as I saw this Make Your Mark collection I wanted to cut out the flowers on the Magnifique Paper. Then I saw so many LO’s where people had done just that and they all looked amazing! So I cut out the flowers and painted some blue paint in the background. I used the Shanna’s favourites paints from the Illustrated faith line and the colours mix in perfectly with this Bella Blvd collections. I’ve put some of the flowers from the Cardstock Die Cuts pack. on foam pads for dimension.  My border is done using the Break Rules Washi Tape and it is absolutely perfect for making a border! I dotted around with some Nuvo Crystal Drops here and there and also made a border with them too. A cluster of embellishments finishes things off on this LO.

For this LO I did a bit of a srcraplift of my own Scrap Weekend LO which I did in October 2016. I loved the Impossible Foiled Paper but I didn’t like the words printed on it so I covered it up! I’ve just made little clusters of embellishments around my photo with various bits and bobs. The hello of my title is a Heidi Swapp Minc Die-Cut jumbo Word, I don’t have the Minc Machine but it didn’t stop me buying some of the words which are made to run through it! I painted mine. I also made another border from different colours of Nuvo Crystal Drops and this was a real labour of love because I leaned over the first one and manged it all up, so I had to re-do! I got hand cramp after all that dotting lol!

I had to use the amazing Magnifique Paper as a background, which isn’t like me at all, I’m usually all about the white or black cardstock backgrounds! I loved this floral paper, it’s so pretty. I layered up a whole lot of scraps I had on my desk, some even have circles punched out of them which I’d used for something else. My title is an old Dear Lizzy word which was rose gold and I coloured it black with a Sharpie and also the awesome yellow Puffy Alpha Stickers from Pinkfresh Studios. I also used a few of the Emoji Love Chipboard Stickers and dotted on some big fat dots of Caribbean Blue Nuvo dots.

Lastly I did another patterned paper background with a couple of borders. I hand doodled a border which is something everyone used to do back in the day! Then I put some white cardstock on and did a border of Nuvo Crystal Drops in colours matching the paper. The paper is the Paint Me and it’s a bit lush! I used more of the Emoji Love Chipboard Stickers and some of the word stickers from the Emoji Love 12×12 Sticker sheet. The ‘smile’ word I’ve used is one of the amazing Acrylic Words from Bella Blvd and I coloured it black with a Sharpie.

If you like bright colours you should definitely check out the Bella Blvd collections, especially Make Your Mark because it’s lush! I’m off now to pick what I’d like to work with this month for my next post on July 1st. I’ll see you then Magpies! xXx
